The Metric from Scott is a great value. The S3 Aluminum Alloy Shaft is 18mm in diameter and will be durable, and have a nice swingweight to it. Scott's P-Core Grip is made with injection molded, soft thermoplastic rubber that will fit nicely in your hand, and the index finger slot will allow your wrist to flip easily and efficiently with each pole plant. The Metric has a Ice Tip that will give you great hold in any snow condition.
